The Popular Plan

The most popular option, including:

  • Removing the deceased to the Funeral Director’s premises, at any time of day or night, from anywhere in the local area.

  • Giving guidance to relatives or executors on the registration of the death and other matters relevant to the funeral.

  • Taking care of the deceased until the funeral.

  • Providing facilities for viewing by the family at the Funeral Director’s premises, including preparation and dressing in a suitable gown or clothes if provided by the family.

  • Supply a wood veneered coffin, fitted and lined with handles and a nameplate.

  • Making all the arrangements for the funeral and providing the Funeral Director, drivers and bearers for the funeral service.

  • Supply of a hearse and one limousine – the cortège can leave from a local address; proceed to a local place of worship if required, then on to the local crematorium or place of burial.

  • Receiving flowers for the funeral, or charitable donations in lieu of flowers, and providing a list of donors to relatives or executors.

  • A contribution towards other expenses or “disbursements” is included.

The Standard Plan

This Plan is the same as the Popular Plan, but no limousine is supplied and no contribution towards disbursements are included. This plan includes:

  • Removing the deceased to the Funeral Director’s premises, at any time of day or night, from anywhere in the local area.

  • Giving guidance to relatives or executors on the registration of the death and other matters relevant to the funeral.

  • Taking care of the deceased until the funeral.

  • Providing facilities for viewing by the family at the Funeral Director’s premises, including preparation and dressing in a suitable gown or clothes if provided by the family.

  • Supply a wood veneered coffin, fitted and lined with handles and a nameplate.

  • Making all the arrangements for the funeral and providing the Funeral Director, drivers and bearers for the funeral service.

  • Supply of a hearse only – the cortège can leave from a local address; proceed to a local place of worship if required, then on to the local crematorium or place of burial.

  • Receiving flowers for the funeral, or charitable donations in lieu of flowers, and providing a list of donors to relatives or executors.

Did you know that you can pre-arrange and make financial provision for your own, or a loved one’s funeral? By taking out a funeral plan, you can provide friends and family with peace of mind at the most sensitive of times. 

At Murray’s Funeral Directors, we pride ourselves on the service we provide. We are an independently owned and operated family service. Looking after your loved one’s last wishes is as important to us as it is to you. 

Taking out a pre-paid funeral plan can ensure that your funeral wishes are known and will be carried out with our caring and personable approach. We are located in Burton-on-Trent and Findern, Derby and Swadlincote. However, if you would like, we can visit you at your home to make any arrangements. We also offer a memorial mason's service.

  • Plans are transferable to funeral directors in alternative locations but there may be more to pay depending on local costs. You will be made aware of this at the time.

  • We guide you through arranging the perfect funeral for you and your family.

The Direct Plan

The This simple plan will ensure your loved one will travel directly to an unattended service at the crematorium, and will include:

  • Removing the deceased to the Funeral Director’s premises, at any time of day or night, from anywhere in the local area.

  • Giving guidance to relatives or executors on the registration of the death and other matters relevant to the funeral.

  • Taking care of the deceased until the funeral.

  • Providing facilities for viewing by the family at the Funeral Director’s premises, including preparation and dressing in a suitable gown or clothes if provided by the family.

  • Supply a simple coffin, fitted and lined with handles and a nameplate.

  • Making all the arrangements for the funeral.

  • A contribution towards other expenses or “disbursements” is included.

The Traditional Plan

The Traditonal plan option, including:

  • Removing the deceased to the Funeral Director’s premises, at any time of day or night, from anywhere in the local area.

  • Giving guidance to relatives or executors on the registration of the death and other matters relevant to the funeral.

  • Taking care of the deceased until the funeral.

  • Providing facilities for viewing by the family at the Funeral Director’s premises, including preparation and dressing in a suitable gown or clothes if provided by the family.

  • Supply a superior wood veneered coffin, fitted and lined with handles and a nameplate.

  • Making all the arrangements for the funeral and providing the Funeral Director, drivers and bearers for the funeral service.

  • Supply of a hearse and two limousine – the cortège can leave from a local address; proceed to a local place of worship if required, then on to the local crematorium or place of burial.

  • Receiving flowers for the funeral, or charitable donations in lieu of flowers, and providing a list of donors to relatives or executors.

  • A contribution towards a floral casket spray, a notice in the local newspaper and fifty orders of service

  • A contribution towards other expenses or “disbursements” is included.

All plans include a £250 management fee.
