Truly Inspirational…

We were honoured to sponsor and attend the Burton Mail Heroes Awards for the third year running. The event is to celebrate and recognise people from East and South Staffordshire who have gone that extra mile for others or shown incredible courage and dedication to make a real difference. It was a fabulous evening, with a total of 30 inspirational finalists present at the home of Burton Albion, the Pirelli Stadium, having to be whittled down to only 10 overall winners and the Hero of Heroes Award, it was such a difficult task. Sue had the honour of presenting Aisa Ali with the award for ‘Achievement Against All Odds’. Sue said, “she was a truly amazing young woman who has achieved so much for someone so young despite her difficult journey and is now an award-winning Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, sharing her story with young adults facing difficult times”. Aisa also won the overall ‘Hero of Burton 2019’ chosen by the Burton and Bretby Rotary Clubs as they felt she makes a real difference in the lives of others. Everyone who was nominated deserve such a huge well done, they all justify high admiration.
