Local Independent Funeral Director wins prestigious Customer Service Award

Local independent Funeral Directors, Murray's, have recently been awarded with a prestigious, national award for Customer Service after being praised by people in the area who bought a prepaid funeral plan from them during 2014/15.

Mrs Susan Barke and colleagues at Murray's Independent Funeral Directors received the 2015 Customer Service Award following responses to a customer survey conducted by Funeral Planning Services, the company who provides administrative and investment services associated with prepaid funeral plans.

Plan buyers who responded to the questionnaire said they felt Mrs Barke and Murray's Independent Funeral Directors, provided them with a helpful and informative service which made making arrangements easy and provided peace of mind that final wishes were set out clearly and paid for. Plan buyers said they had peace of mind knowing their loved ones would not be burdened with having to make decisions at a difficult time, or have to worry about unexpected financial costs when the time came.

Pre-paid funeral plans - whereby funeral arrangements can be made and paid for at today's prices, however many years pass by before that funeral needs to take place - are an increasingly welcome way to invest at today's prices and avoid the difficulties associated with quickly rising funeral service costs.

Susan and David Barke of Murray's Funeral Directors received the award at a gala award dinner held by Funeral Planning Services' Chief Executive, David Taylor, at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield.
