Choosing a burial or cremation

The choice of whether a person is buried or cremated may already have been decided by family traditions, religious views or by the person making their wishes clear while they were alive.

Burials

Most churchyards in the local area allow burials for all people whether they were religious or not, however there may be restrictions on what faiths are dedicated for certain areas.

Your family may already have grave spaces allocated or new plots may need to be purchased. Either way, we can help you make the correct arrangements and organise any paperwork required.

Cremation

If your loved one is cremated, we can arrange for the ashes to be promptly returned to you so you can either keep or distribute their remains as you wish. We have a range of urns available for you to choose from.

Many of our local cemeteries also have gardens of remembrance or dedicated areas for cremated remains to be interred. Memorials and headstones can also be installed.

Murray's is always available to provide personal funeral advice to you and your family. Contact the team at one of our local branches using the details below.
